SMAL at TTU

WELCOME TO SMAL

The Soft MAtter Lab (SMAL) at Texas Tech led by Prof. Winnie Chang performs fundamental and applied research in soft matter: a broad topic ranging from colloids, drops, emulsions, to cell biophysic, soft and active matter.

An overarching goal of the research program is to utilize an interdisciplinary approach to further our understanding of structure—function relationships of soft matter on multiple length scales, and use this knowledge to generate solutions and new design rules for novel materials and desirable tissue structures.
